Farmer Elicenia is a young and smiling woman who, together with her husband, is dedicated to the production of fine coffee. They run their farm with enthusiasm and involve the whole family in everything. Elicenia tries to pass on to her children not only her love of farming, but also the importance of responsibility and education, which she considers crucial for their future.

Although she grew up among coffee trees, she never imagined she would stay in the country. After graduating from high school, she continued her studies at Pitalit and took a course on coffee quality control. This brought her back to her family tradition and her passion for coffee. At one of the courses she met her husband and after a few years of working in the city, they decided to return to the farm where they started to expand the coffee plantation and buy more land.

Elicenia and her family plan to produce the highest quality coffee and develop agro-tourism. Their dream is to start their own coffee lab with a roaster so that they can offer a full service, and so that their coffee will be known not only in Colombia, but around the world.

Harvesting and processing are very traditional on the farm and typical of small farms in Colombia.

The Pink Bourbon was harvested, floated and left in the cherry tank to oxidize for 48 hours, after which the cherries were peeled and left to ferment dry in the tank without water until the next day. They were then washed in the traditional way and placed in the drying room. Drying lasted 15 days on the drying rack.

A sedimentation filter is used on the farm for the effluent. The farm also uses a machine to remove the coffee pulp by centrifugal force, called a desmucilaginador, to reduce water waste and contamination. The leftover coffee pulp is dried and added to the compost.
