The owner, Leo Fidele Ndagijimana, originally from the west of the country, first had to gain the trust and support of the locals after buying the station. He has done this and the station has become a positive asset to the community through the employment opportunities it offers. The station employs 94 people, 4 of whom are full time, and 70% of the staff are women.
Coffee cherries are supplied to the station by 1200 farmers, all of whose farms are within 2km of the station. The average farm has 7,000 coffee trees, but some have as few as 100, along with other crops. In 2019, when the station changed management, they processed 450 tonnes of coffee cherries. In 2023, the total production was estimated at 800 tonnes, but due to bureaucracy, production was suspended in the peak season, so this target was not reached. The station hopes to continue to grow and support the local community.
