Elicenia Chilito Guaca is a young farmer who grows specialty coffee with her husband and children. Although she grew up among coffee trees, she wanted to leave for the city when she was young. Her studies in coffee quality control later brought her back to her family's craft. During one of the courses she met her husband, with whom she built her own farm.
Together they started from scratch - with no facilities and almost no coffee trees. Through hard work and smart investments, they expanded the farm and modernized the coffee processing with organic equipment. Today, Elicenia passes on her love of farming to her children, who are involved in growing their own lots of coffee, as well as supporting them in their studies. Her dream is to run an agritourism business, have her own coffee lab and get their coffee out into the world.

Marisol grew up among coffee trees and as a child was given her first piece of land by her father to learn how to grow coffee. This moment set her on the path to a lifelong passion that has become not only a livelihood but also a path to professional growth.
Her desire for excellence led her to Bogotá, where she expanded her knowledge of coffee quality and sensory analysis in 2009. A year later, she obtained the prestigious Q Grader certificate and gradually developed the family farm and her own brand of roasted coffee, Maras Café. She used her expertise to help not only her family but also the community - she led a women's association focused on coffee products and received recognition for project management and marketing.
Her family's story is a testament to perseverance. After a dramatic escape from a conflict-ridden area, her father decided to build a new future in the coffee industry - starting with a quarter hectare and eventually creating a nine-hectare farm. Today, Marisol continues his legacy, spreading the passion for fine coffee and inspiring the next generation of farmers.
